This is one of my favourite recipes.....very very easy to make and very delicious. Hmmm.... I dont remember the source of this recipe as I had written this in my cookbook long back...
What you need -
Chickpeas - 1cup
Ajwain - 1/2 tsp
Garlic - 1tsp finely chopped
Ginger - 1tsp finely chopped
Red chilli Powder - 3/4 tsp
Amchoor Powder - 3/4 tsp
Garam Masala - 1tsp
Cumin seeds - 3/4 tsp
Turmeric powder - a pinch
Oil
Salt to taste
Procedure-
Soak chickpeas in water for about 5-6 hours.
Pressure cook chickpeas with ajwain and garlic.
Heat oil in a pan, add cumin seeds and ginger and stir fry for a minute or so. Now, add amchur powder, turmeric and cooked chickpeas and mix well. Sprinkle garam masala, salt, red chilli powder and mix well. Slightly mash the chickpeas with a spoon. Cook till the dish becomes dark in colour.
Garnish with finely chopped onions and green chilli before serving.
